House of Music

In  2022 the association The House of Music is planning to complete the investment and equip the first integrative House of Creative Work in Europe. What is going to make this very place so unique is the fact that it will be based on the innovative combination of creative work elements with all kinds of therapies.

The project of House of Music is supported by Ministry of Culture and National Heritage (Poland).

Thanks to teams of professionals, The House of Music will organize art workshops and individual therapies for its residents.

The art workshops will cover full creative processes aimed to result in complete works from different fields of art.

There will be music studios, a recording studio, an art and photo studio in The House of Music.

There will be doctor’s surgeries to serve the purpose of physical therapy and psychotherapy respectively.

All activities and initiatives of the House of Music will be focused on developing the integration between the environment of artists and artistically inclined disabled persons.

The uniqueness of the House of Music will also consist in directing its activities also for people who do not have a certificate of the degree of disability.

Another distinguishing feature of The House of Music will be the thought for the people who do not have a certificate of the degree of disability. Special attention will be given to people with depression, bipolar disorder and people who have undergone the initial addiction treatment process.

Due to the fairly frequent communication accidents involving not only artists, but also stage technicians, therapies will be conducted for the injured as well as for their relatives, who in many cases will also have to face a lifestyle change.

The House of Music is located in the village of Ruda (about 25 km from the center of Warsaw) in a 19th-century park by the Mienia river. The House of Music, which is now under fitting-out works, is a building of 1300 m2 on a plot of 3000 m2.

About PLN 1 million is needed to fully complete and equip this place. The Association’s own contribution came from charity events with participation of the most outstanding artists of the Polish scene. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020 and in 2021, the Association was deprived of organising charity events.

For three years now, the investment has been carried out mainly thanks to the support of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage and the people of goodwill.

The innovative approach to running the House of Music in the future, will largely allow for the self-financing of the statutory activities of the Association.
